The Paddocks Bed and Breakfast set in 7½ acres in the North Dorset village of Melbury Abbas, close to Shaftesbury.
Set in beautiful countryside and backing onto National Trust Land.
Our B&B is ideal for:
- Short breaks
- Romantic weekends
- Walkers and cyclists
- Longer breaks to discover all the delights Dorset has to offer
Relaxed, modern and comfortable accommodation set on the ground floor, a good breakfast and a warm welcome awaits you.
At The Paddocks we often have buzzards and Kite flying over head and if you are lucky you may spot deer or fox in the early evenings, see bats In flying around and even hear the owls. In the summer you can find wild orchids in the field.
The Paddocks B and B is set next to Fontmell and Melbury Downs.
Within the Cranborne Chase, an area of outstanding natural beauty that covers 380sq miles.
The area is visually stunning, with a broad mixture of different types of landscape, as well as a rich historical heritage.
Close to our B&B is the Saxon town of Shaftesbury steeped in history and offering breath-taking views being built 718ft (219m) above sea level.
It is the only significant hilltop settlement in Dorset and one of the oldest and highest towns in Britain.
Famous for Gold Hill, a steep cobbled street used in the Hovis bread advert and also featured in a Morrison's advert, also for bread!
